Updated May 14, 2018 - Wegman’s catering menu is known for being healthy and containing freshly made food with high quality ingredients. Wegman’s catering prices are reasonably priced and overall a great value. Wegman’s catering has a broad array of individual items, like party platters, party subs, cheese platters, seafood platters, and dessert trays. Additionally, they offer specific party packages like their party trays, vegetable trays, fresh fruit platters and other items that are geared towards a specific type of event (such as brunch, football parties, or office events) and have a very flexible menu with hundreds of combinations.
Wegman’s catering uses the strongest areas of the supermarket to create high quality, fresh platters at low prices. They have a wide assortment of subs due to their high quality sub shop. Same goes for their sushi platters, fruit and vegetable platters (due to their produce department), as well as their famous cakes and other baked goods (due to the Wegman’s bakery department) and other items.
Wegman’s delivery is offered through their partner, Instacart. It’s possible to order Wegman’s online and get delivery in as little as one hour (although delivery time may change or not be offered at all depending on your location and proximity to a participating store). Specifically for catering orders, Wegman’s does not offer delivery. Instead, for Wegman’s catering orders you are asked to order and then specific a pick-up time. It’s important to choose a time close to the time of your event, as some items are served hot and ready to eat while others are served fully prepared but still needing some heating time before being served. Make sure to pay attention to their menu, as this information is highlighted there.
In addition to offering a wide selection of party platters and other catering items, Wegman’s catering also offers floral arrangements and plastic cutlery and plates. This way, Wegman’s is a one-stop shop for a wide range of events and parties.

Wegman’s Company History and Information:
Wegman’s was originally founded in 1916 in Rochester, NY as a single vegetable cart. It’s original name was the Rochester Fruit and Vegetable company. Currently, Wegman’s has 96 stores primarily in the northeastern United States and is expanding rapidly. It is a privately held company that only begun its expansion outside the Rochester area in 1968, more than 50 years after it was originally founded.
Wegman’s is well known for being one of the best places to work – it’s been on the Forbes annual Best Companies to Work For list since the list was created in 1998, and was ranked #2 behind Salesforce.com in the most recent survey.
